Vance was born in Harrisonville, Missouri. As a child, he moved with his family to the family owned farm in Southwest Kansas. After graduation from Satanta High School, Vance attended college in Oklahoma City. He received a B.S. degree from Mid-America Bible College majoring in Bible and Specialized Ministries.

Vance served as Associate Pastor in Youth at Eastside Community Church in Muskogee, Oklahoma for eight years. He became the Senior Pastor of MacArthur Park Church of God in the fall of 1999. It is his desire for the church to grow strong healthy families and to provide opportunities for people to connect with God.

Vance and his wife Ashley have two beautiful children. In his spare time, Vance enjoys spending time with his family and refereeing basketball.
